About Western Row MD Program

The Multiple Disabilities (MD) Program at Western Row, operated by the Warren County Educational Service Center, provides specialized education for students with significant disabilities and complex support needs. Though the program is off-site, it remains a vital part of daily life for Brookside’s school aged residents, offering a consistent, supportive environment focused on engagement, growth, and meaningful connection.

Classrooms are structured and accessible, with an emphasis on communication support, sensory regulation, and participation. Many students use assistive technology, alternative communication systems, and positioning equipment, all of which are integrated into the school day to support comfort and learning.

Brookside staff work closely with Western Row educators and therapists to ensure strong communication and alignment between home and school. IEP meetings, therapy planning, and behavior support strategies are coordinated to create continuity across settings. Western Row staff are highly involved in their students’ lives, often visiting residents at Brookside during breaks and maintaining lasting, trusted relationships beyond the classroom.
