A Supportive Space Where Brookside Residents Flourish

Leaps & Bounds (Mason) is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and offers a welcoming, structured environment that encourages connection, growth, and comfort. Every space is created with intention, shaped around the unique needs and interests of those who spend their days here.

The environment includes a community-style café where residents enjoy meals together, a cinema room for relaxation, and sensory spaces designed to support regulation and calm. There are also designated areas for rest and privacy, giving individuals time to recharge during the day. Every element of the space, from layout to lighting, is designed to feel welcoming and familiar.

Programming at Leaps and Bounds includes support with life skills and communication, including support with daily routines like toileting, hand washing, meals, and grooming. Residents also engage in vocational tasks like shredding paper or organizing materials, along with activities that bring in movement and creativity, including music, themed events, and visits from community guests. Each part of the day is structured to promote comfort, participation, and a sense of belonging.

Our Services

At Leaps & Bounds Mason, our day program goes beyond routine engagement. We provide opportunities that help individuals build practical skills, grow in confidence, and stay meaningfully involved in their communities. Through thoughtful support, we promote independence and connection every step of the way.

Hands-On Work Experience

We offer structured, hands-on activities that help build routine, focus, and a sense of purpose. Tasks like shredding paper or organizing give residents opportunities to practice valuable everyday skills with support from our staff, all at a pace that works for them.

Safe & Supported Travel

Getting to and from the program shouldn’t be a challenge. That’s why transportation is a core part of what we do. We offer dependable rides to and from our facility and help residents attend outings and special events. Every trip is supervised by trained staff who prioritize safety, comfort, and punctuality.
